Purchase an Exotic weapon from a character is likely to be a Weekly Challenge in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1, given that it's been featured in the majority of recent seasons.

To complete the challenge in Fortnite, you'll need to locate a character who sells an Exotic weapon and have the right amount of gold bars to buy it from them.

Completing this Fortnite task will usually reward you with 15k XP, which will then help you towards unlocking the new Battle Pass skins.

Where to purchase an Exotic weapon from a character in Fortnite

There are six characters you can purchase an Exotic weapon from in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1:

Wild Card location

Wild Card is perhaps the toughest character to find in Fortnite. They can be found anywhere between Breakwater Bay and Shattered Slabs. There's a main road connecting these two areas. Wild Card will walk this road, and sometimes heads into the small castle about halfway down.

The easiest way to find Wild Card is to land at Breakwater Bay. If he's not there, grab a nearby dirt bike and ride down to Shattered Slabs. Check the small castle on the way down, and keep an eye out on the road. If you haven't found him, he's likely at Shattered Slabs.

Princess Felicity Fish location

Now onto Princess Felicity Fish, who sells the Grappler Bow. To find this character, it is recommended that you drop from the bus onto the location shown below. It's a small castle building, southwest of The Citadel. The Princess is found way up on the roof, which is difficult to reach from the ground.

Evie location

Evie will sell you the Shadow Tracker Pistol, which marks enemies if you land a hit with it. This is extremely useful when playing in a team. To find Evie, head to the house shown on the map below. She sometimes walks around the outside, but should be easy to spot.

Surr Burger location

Surr Burger sells The Dub, a shotgun that throws you and the enemy backwards after firing. Just head to Anvil Square and look for him inside a building. He's extremely easy to spot on the map.

Sunflower location

Sunflower is super easy to track down, and can be found wandering around Frenzy Fields. Just head to the location shown on the map below:

Frozen Fishstick location

Finally, we have Frozen Fishstick, who sells the Chilli Chug Splash Exotic item. He can be found in a small cabin by the ice lake to the west of Brutal Bastion.
