How does the Dragon Ball event in Fortnite work?
The current Dragon Ball event in Fortnite includes the Son Gohan and Piccolo skins you can purchase from the in-game shop, a collection of challenges - which you can learn more about in the sections below - and rewards that can be earned by completing these challenges.
What makes this event stand out, however, when compared to past tie-in Fortnite events is not just the ability to banish your foes with a Kamehameha, but how the Dragon Ball rewards are unlocked.
Yes, you'll still need to complete the Dragon Ball challenges, but you have to do them on the Dragon Ball Adventure Island creative map.
For the first quest, there are seven Dragon Ball challenges, with each rewarding a Dragon Ball. Once you've completed a quest associated with these challenges, you'll unlock the Orange Piccolo Spray.
When the next quest unlocks, you'll then get the Gohan Beast Spray for completing it.
Unfortunately, there's no XP rewarded for completing these Dragon Ball quests on Adventure Island - just the spray rewards we mentioned above. You will, however, get XP for playing while on a creative map. We got 5k XP for about two hours spent on Adventure Island.
Fortnite Dragon Ball Adventure Island code
To take part in the Dragon Ball quests in the event, you have to play on the Dragon Ball Adventure Island creative map. Although we usually recommend favouriting a map to easily access it, this has been leading us to getting kicked from the server, or the controls not responding properly.
Due to these server issues, we recommend inputting this code every time you wish to go back to the Dragon Ball Island.
Here's the code for the Dragon Ball Adventure Island in Fortnite:
5642-8525-5429
Remember to include the dashes between the numbers, or the code might not work.

When do new Dragon Ball challenges release in Fortnite?
That's it for new Dragon Ball quests in Fortnite! There may be another event in the future, but it doesn't look like we're getting any surprises for Dragon Ball like there was with the School of Llama web event for Witcher items.
Dragon Ball Quest 1 challenges in Fortnite
The first Dragon Ball quest asks you to collect four Dragon Balls on Adventure Island. To do this, you need to complete challenges on the creative map.
Below you’ll find all of the Dragon Ball challenges for the first quest:
Collect the Dragon Ball near the quest board (Resort Area) - 1 Dragon BallUse the radar to locate a hidden Dragon Ball (Resort Area) - 1 Dragon BallCraft a Shield Fish, Spicy Fish, and a Vendetta Fish (Goku's House) - 1 Dragon BallComplete the Room of Spirit and Time Trial - 1 Dragon BallUse your Nimbus Cloud to complete the cloud race - 1 Dragon BallUse the Kamehameha to destroy 5 rocks (Beerus Planet) - 1 Dragon BallMake a Wish to Shenron (after picking up seventh Dragon Ball at the Resort quest board) - Gohan Beast Spray
Dragon Ball Quest 2 challenges in Fortnite
The challenge for the second Dragon Ball quest is a lot easier, only asking you to collect 50 Capsule Corps around Adventure Island.
You can find all of these in the main Resort hub area of the creative map.
Dragon Ball rewards: How to unlock every Dragon Ball reward in Fortnite
To earn the Dragon Ball rewards in Fortnite, you need to complete both of the Dragon Ball quests on the Adventure Island creative mode. The first asks you to collect four Dragon Balls, and for the second you need to collect 50 Capsule Corps.
You need to use the spaceship to the right of the quest board to travel between areas to complete specific challenges in order to earn Dragon Balls for the first quest.
Use the spaceship to get to your next challenge.
Once you have four Dragon Balls, you should get the Orange Piccolo Spray - but as the servers have been a little unstable, it didn't actually unlock for us. You might need to complete the challenges on Adventure Island again for it to count.
If it's still not working, players have reported being able to make progress after visiting a different version of the map as described in the thread by iFireMonkey on Twitter below:
I've received multiple reports in DMs that there is a chance for the Dragon Ball Adventure Island creative map to crash, causing players to lose progress towards unlocking the Orange Piccolo Spray and even locking some players out of earning it at all. pic.twitter.com/LAjDwP5gfM

When you collect 50 Capsules for the second challenge, you'll get the Gohan Beast Spray.
Dragon Ball event end date in Fortnite
We don't know as of writing when the current Dragon Ball event will end in Fortnite. As the first Dragon Ball quest lasts a week before the second starts, we think the second should last a week as well - giving us until at least the 14th February to complete all of the challenges and earn rewards on the Adventure Island.
This isn't official, however, so it's best to complete the quests as soon as you can to make sure you earn all of the Dragon Ball rewards before the event ends!
