Raptors have recently been re-introduced into Fortnite.
Originally appearing in Season 6, raptors have returned to the island in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3, which is very fitting given the ongoing 'Wilds' theme.
Here's where to find raptors in Fortnite, as well as some tips on how to tame and ride them.

Raptors are found in Fortnite's Jungle biome. This includes Shady Stilts, Creeky Compound and Rumble Ruins. Raptors are found in the jungles around these areas. They roam freely, and can be found in eggs. You can find eggs on the ground, as shown in the image below:
Be careful when approaching a raptor, however, as they hit surprisingly hard and their fast running speed makes escape difficult. Thankfully, like boars and wolves, you can tame raptors.
Make sure you listen closely to the sounds around you when searching for a raptor. If one is close by you'll be able to hear a chirping, clicking, sound which will indicate that at least one raptor is nearby. It's like a softer version of the sounds the raptors make in the original Jurassic Park film. You can also use the audio visualiser in the settings, which will show a raptor on your HUD when one is nearby.
How to tame a raptor in Fortnite
If you want to tame a raptor in Fortnite, you will need to jump up onto its back. This is exactly the same as teaming boars and wolves, you'll just need to time your jump correctly. If you manage to land on a raptor's back, hearts will appear, indicating that you've successfully tamed it. You can now ride it.
Compared to wolves or boars, raptors are faster runners, which makes them the ideal companion for traversing the island. It may take a moment for them to follow you, but they will do so quickly and can swim across bodies of water as well.
Raptors will also destroy any walls which happen to get in their way and hunt down any attacking players, which is quite entertaining to watch. You can jump while on a raptor, and a double jump will launch you off of it. This is great for reaching high ledges and treetops.
Good luck tracking down a Raptor in Fortnite!
