Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 is now live. Grab your weapons and get ready to dive in to the brand new season themed around Heists, get your hands on new skins and drive around in a pizza car.

As with previous Fortnite seasons, Epic games have now dropped a teaser trailer and a new cinematic trailer that confirm several new skins, a new POI, weapon and much more. Matchmaking is currently down too, so the new season really isn't far away.

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 release date

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 update is now live.

A recent Tweet from @FortniteStatus confirms that the Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 release date is Friday, 25th August.

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 is here! To help you get started with this heist themed season, we have guides on how to alert a Securitry Camera, secure data from Forecast Towers and destroy weakened walls or security gates. It's launch day and Epic Games have finally treated us to two teaser trailers that confirm whether a few of the leaks we've heard about on Twitter are true. Some information is still under wraps, so you will probably need to load into Fortnite once the new season goes live to check it out to learn more!

This also gives credit to the leak by @FNChiefAko, that gave further credit to the idea that Chapter 4 Season 4 was Heist themed. From the battle-ready Turrets discretely disguised as a briefcase, to the new Rocket Ram weapon, most of the information all linked in one way or another to Heists.

From a caption on one of the teaser trailers, we've learned of at least two new weapons we can definitely look forward to seeing in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4. The Rocket Ram and the Shield Launcher.

From information gathered in the Tweet below from @FNChiefAko, it seems as though several differing Mythic weapons may also be available in Chapter 4 Season 4:

New POI's

In this teaser trailer posted to Twitter by @FortniteGame, you can see at least one new POI in the form of a large mansion. It's still thought by many that this POI will replace The Citadel, but we cannot confirm this yet.

This POI could be the Eclipsed Estate POI that we mentioned below from information from two reliable Fortnite leakers, @FNChiefAko and @HYPEX.

New Bag Item

One of the more recent leaks from @HYPEX revealed that there may be a new bag item, with @FNChiefAko posting similiar information around the same time.

@FNChiefAko revealed that the new item could be named 'Heist Bag' and could potentially be a rework of Tents or extra storage. We're hoping its the latter, you can never have too much storage really.

New Vehicle

In a Tweet posted by @HYPEX, we've learned that there may be other brand new vehicles to get your hands on in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4. It's not yet clear if it's one single vehicle design dotted around multiple areas of the map, or if it will just be one car spawning in a single location.

From the leak, it seems that the new vehicle could be called 'Nitro Fang'.

New Skins

The two recent trailers revealed a few new potential skins and characters that will be available in Fortnite Last Resort, including Ahsoka Tano. It's not yet clear if all of the ones seen will be available for purchase or through the battle pass or if some were just for cinematic purposes.
