A 1990 release of the original FINAL FANTASY 3 has been remastered for smartphones and is now known as “FINAL FANTASY III (Pixel Remastered).” A main character in the game is named Krystal and is associated with four adventurers chosen by her. A new addition to the creative staff was Kazuko Shibuya, who made dot characters that represent FF. Every graphic shown in the game was presented in 2D and every detail was vividly expressed. The rearranged BGM was written by the series composer familiar with Nobuo Uematsu. Additional features such as auto battle were added because of Uematsu's supervision. This resulted in a different game compared to the 3D remake version, which was also directed by Uematsu.

While exploring dungeons and towns, the game naturally advances to a next destination. This may be a town or a dungeon, but it almost always leads to an area with an event— like a town or dungeon. When traveling through these areas, the game encounters enemies at random; the characters then rush into battle. Using special job commands like summoning magic to defeat the enemy while ensuring all allies act in the same order is NOT ATB, which was borrowed from Final Fantasy IV. This work is completely original and doesn’t incorporate FF4’s ATB command.

The game's original version features excellent graphics and sounds that cause the player to feel the atmosphere. Additionally, the game's UI has been improved for smartphones and an auto-battle feature has been added. Although I had some trouble using the game during certain moments, like while entering commands during combat, I was able to play the game comfortably without stress. Additional features such as a monster picture book, an illustration gallery and a sound player were added to the game. This allowed players who played the 3D remake to have a fun experience with a different impression than before.

Every time a character defeats an enemy in battle, they earn experience points. This allows them to grow and develop, and it also affects their job proficiency. In the original version of the game, there was a system for changing jobs called capacity; however, the updated version uses a system calledCP. You’ll progress through the story by assigning jobs to your character. Switching jobs helps you develop a more effective character. There are six jobs in the game: Warrior, Monk, White Mage, Black Mage, Dragoon and Illusionist.
