The remake of SENRAN KAGURA Burst Re:Newal tells about a world where the assassins who served the shoguns are still fighting today. The training of hidden killers goes underground in regular schools. Shinobi are divided into evil and good. The former usually act solely for profit, while the latter carry out tasks of national importance. The remake of the game brought another new chapter to two storylines. This is the story of the "Snow Queen" named Yumi.

　　The gameplay is represented by action, where the heroines have several blows and dodge attacks at their disposal. Contains a “Throwout” scale, which enhances attacks and allows you to parry in the air, and also serves to unlock skills and bonuses while leveling up styles. The protagonists fight with various shadow warriors.

　　All protagonists have individual characters and movements. Yagyuy and Yumi master the frosty element, Aski controls six Homura blades simultaneously, shredding enemies into small pieces, and Ikaruga is the fastest and deadliest killer in the game. In addition to the main storyline, “free tasks” are available in SENRAN KAGURA Burst Re:Newal. They can be performed by any heroine, thereby allowing you to upgrade your skills before important missions or battles with leaders.

　　Clothing is fully interactive and breaks as the battle progresses. There is a "Fury" mode, in which girls are left without outer clothing, losing defense bonuses, but gaining attack power. This mode makes it impossible to use shinobi transformation, but due to speed and increased damage it makes it easier to deal with bosses.
