Scania produces trucks, bus chassis and diesel engines for industrial and marine use, and for vehicles, agricultural and construction machinery produced by other companies.

Scania has traditionally been a manufacturer of heavy and extra heavy trucks, although it produces smaller tonnage models.

Until 1957, when the first truck was produced in Brazil, vehicles were produced only in Sweden. Currently there are also factories in Argentina, Mexico, France, Holland, Poland and Russia.

This truck was acquired by Ladair Michelon, who would become one of the biggest entrepreneurs in Brazil. In 2018 it turned 80 and is still revered as a reference in Road Cargo Transport.

In Brazil in the 70's and 80's only chassis were manufactured for buses and tractors, with traction capacity from 40 tons, currently 4X2, 6X2 and 6X4 rigid trucks are also manufactured, also serving the segment of semi-heavy trucks.
