The FIT - Italian Tobacconists Federation - member of Confcommercio is the trade union organization that represents monopoly genre retailers. Its vocation is non-partisan, non-profit and acts on the national territory through provincial unions and territorial delegations present in all provincial capitals. The National Presidency and the General Management are based in Rome.

It offers its 48 thousand associates - almost all of the category - offers consultancy and protection services in reference to all matters relating to their professional activity with particular regard to tobaccos and lotto games.

It prepares appeals against administrative procedures, offers assistance in matters of trade discipline, rental of commercial properties and in the insurance field.

The FIT closely monitors the activities of the Government and the two branches of Parliament, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Economic Development and the Customs and Monopolies Agency. Furthermore, through the foreign office, it constantly monitors the sector outside the national territory with particular attention to Europe.

The Federation of Sports Totoricevitori Union (STS), which represents the category of totoreceivers, offers them professional services in various sectors and takes care of their relations with the bodies managing the national betting competitions.
